Joan Richardson, NP-C, OCNJoan Richardson, NP-C, OCN

Joan has enjoyed over 30 years in health care. She has worked at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center as a Nursing Supervisor in the Medical/Oncology department for over 30 years before joining Clearwater Medical Clinic in 2005. Joan specializes in Cancer Care and is certified by the Oncology Nursing Society. In addition to Cancer Care she enjoys working with the elderly population and makes round at the local Extended Care Facilities and St. Joseph’s Transitional Care Unit. Joan also specializes in addiction treatment and counseling, and weight management including Lapband Fills and adjustments. Joan enjoys working with all people in sickness and in health. She strongly promotes preventative health care!

Joan lives in the Tammany area on a small country farm with her husband Pat. They enjoy spending time with their 2 children and 9 grandchildren. They enjoy supporting local community establishments such as the Valley Boys & Girls Club, The Jackson Baldwin Foundation and the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

  • Oncology Nurse Certification by the Oncology Nursing Society
  • Certification by the American Academy of Addiction Psychology
  • Member of the Cambridge Who’s Who…..
  • Member of the American Nursing Association, Idaho Nursing Association and Idaho Medical Association
  • Volunteer for 18 years for the American Cancer Society, holding the Chairperson title for 15 years for the Snake River Relay for Life event
  • Member of the St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Hospice Board
  • Joan has enjoyed being a Guest Speaker in various Institutions in the Quad Cities about the nursing profession, the role of the Nurse Practitioner, Cancer education and treatment of Opiod addiction.
