Celso Chavez, MD has been practicing in this community as a Family Physician at Clearwater Medical Clinic for over 20 years. His primary focus of care has been devoted to a Holistic approach of mind, body and spirit.

Doris has over 27 years of experience in the medical profession. She worked for seventeen years at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Orthopedics, Progressive care and fourteen years in the role of Infection Control Practitioner and Employee Health. She joined the Clearwater Medical Clinic family in August 1997. Her specific areas of interests include: hormone therapy, weight management, fibromyalgia, women’s preventative care, anxiety/depression and thyroid function management.

Her practice philosophy is in listening to and working with patients to educate them about options/treatments to achieve optimal health and well being.

Doris enjoys being a sister, daughter, mother and grandmother. She is very involved with her family activities including traveling whenever the opportunity presents itself.

She continues to enhance her knowledge base by attending numerous seminars and conferences annually.

Robin has 25 years of experience in the Healthcare field. After 15 years in hospital nursing in Critical Care and as a Nursing Supervisor, she continued her education to improve her ability to care for individuals in a community setting. She joined the Clearwater Medical Clinic Family in 1998 and enjoys the one on one patient contact in Family Practice. She is interested in all aspects of family care including but not limited to, Wellness care, Women’s Health, Cardiovascular Health and Diabetes Management.

Robin and her husband John have 4 grown boys and enjoy spending time with them and most of all they enjoy spending time with their grandchildren.

Christy has over 20 years experience in the medical profession. Experience includes all aspects of Family Practice, Women’s Health, Family Planning and Pediatrics. She joined the Clearwater Medical Clinic family in June of 2002. She enjoys the challenges of meeting today’s healthcare needs. Specific areas of interest include; Prevention of Cardiovascular disease and Diabetes, Asthma/Allergies and Depression/ Anxiety Disorders. My practice philosophy is educating patients in lifestyle modifications to improve overall health and well-being.

Christy and her husband Kelly enjoy spending time with their son and are very active in the Lewis-Clark Community.

Theresa M Smith NP-CTheresa M Smith NP-C

Terry has over 24 years of service in the health care industry. She worked for 11 years at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in the Minor Care Department as a Nurse Practitioner. After working at SJRMC she then transferred to Kendrick Clinic to have more personal contact with patients.

In February of 2004 Terry became part of the Clearwater Medical Clinic Family. Terry enjoys treating patients of all ages. From Pediatrics to Geriatrics, Women’s Health, Wellness, Illness, Dermatology and various diseases.

Terry has three daughters and enjoys spending her time with them and is very active in her community of Kendrick, ID where she is involved in their school and programs.

Joan Richardson, NP-C, OCNJoan Richardson, NP-C, OCN

Joan has enjoyed over 30 years in health care. She has worked at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center as a Nursing Supervisor in the Medical/Oncology department for over 30 years before joining Clearwater Medical Clinic in 2005. Joan specializes in Cancer Care and is certified by the Oncology Nursing Society. In addition to Cancer Care she enjoys working with the elderly population and makes round at the local Extended Care Facilities and St. Joseph’s Transitional Care Unit. Joan also specializes in addiction treatment and counseling, and weight management including Lapband Fills and adjustments. Joan enjoys working with all people in sickness and in health. She strongly promotes preventative health care!

Joan lives in the Tammany area on a small country farm with her husband Pat. They enjoy spending time with their 2 children and 9 grandchildren. They enjoy supporting local community establishments such as the Valley Boys & Girls Club, The Jackson Baldwin Foundation and the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

Cheryl Loetscher, NP-CCheryl Loetscher, NP-C

Cheryl was raised in Colton, Washington. After working in the hospital setting as a registered nurse for over 15 years she continued her education so that she could expand her ability to practice in the full spectrum of family healthcare. She has over 18 years experience in the health care profession. Her interests include depression, addiction treatment, women’s health, dermatology and promotion of health prevention in all age groups.

She enjoys spending time with her husband Ken, their two sons and their wives.

Geni L. Mertsching, NP-CGeni L. Evans, NP-C

Geni has been working as a registered nurse in the valley since 1984. she has a variety of healthcare experience including hospital nursing, home health nursing, cardiology and management. She taught nursing at LCSC for 7 years. Because of her long term ties to the community, she returned to school to advance her knowledge to provide healthcare to individuals in the community. Geni joined the Clearwater Medical Clinic family in 2010. She is pursuing advanced education in rheumatology. Her interests include cardiology, rheumatology and wellness in all aspects of family care.

Geni has two adult children and four grandchildren. She enjoys traveling and has traveled to Guyana, South America and Mexico on mission trips. She has two grandsons that are champion wrestlers and she enjoys traveling to tournaments with them. She is there biggest fan.
